Gary Allan hosted his annual fan club party this week during CMA Music Fest. The yearly event, which is always a treat for fans, took place at Nashville’s Rocketown and hosted by GAC’s Suzanne Alexander.

During Gary’s performance, he paused the show to take the time to remember his good friend and fan club president, Sharon Eaves, who passed away this past fall. For those that did not know of Eaves, Gary explained how much she meant to him and many others, as well as her work with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

To honor Sharon Eaves and support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Bob Parks’ Dale Nichols stepped in to help auction off the very first ring Gary Allan completely designed for his jewelry line. The silver skull ring included three diamonds and Allan’s initials on the inside of the band. The ring auctioned off for $7,500 to a lucky fan club winner. Earlier in the week, an online auction was hosted that included several Gary Allan items such as a signed guitar, signed drum head, meet & greet passes, etc… In Sharon Eaves’ honor, the event raised over $25,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Throughout the 2-hour party, Allan played several of his hit singles and also treated fans to brand some new music from his upcoming project. Playing for the first time in a live performance, Gary showcased his new single, “Do You Wish It Was Me?,” which is now available on iTunes.

“Do You Wish It Was Me?” is the lead single from Gary Allan’s forthcoming album and heads to country radio on Monday, June 13.
