Canaan Smith will be headed out with Dierks Bentley on his Sounds of Summer Tour, and he can’t wait to get on the road with his friend, who he’s dubbed “King of Cool.”
“Dierks Bentley, to me, is the King of Cool. When George Strait came out, he was the King of Cool, and I feel like the next guy in line was Dierks. And he’s always been that same guy from the beginning,” says Canaan. “He’s always had a sound. He hasn’t strayed from it, and he’s always presented himself as just a kind of a man’s man, and I like that. He’s inspired me a lot, so when he asked me to go on this tour, I didn’t hesitate at all. I’m honored to be a part of it.”
Canaan is marching up the country charts with his single, “Love You Like That,” which is featured on his self-titled debut EP. It also includes a song, “Two Lane Road,” which features his buddy, Dierks.
