Dierks Bentley Scores 14th No.1 Single with “Somewhere On A Beach”

Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley has stormed the charts with Somewhere On A Beach,” the lead single from his forthcoming studio album BLACK (Capitol Records Nashville), out May 27. It cruises to the No. One spot on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase radio charts this week and shows no signs of slowing down.

The infectious track has also earned GOLD status by the RIAA ahead of the album’s release and spends its second week atop the Canadian radio charts. The fastest rising single of Bentley’s career, “Somewhere On A Beach” continues to resonate with fans for the fourth week on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

“‘Somewhere On A Beach’ is setting up our summer just like we wanted and putting fans in the mood to party out on the tour,” shares Bentley. “It’s hard to believe your 14th No. one hit could be your fastest rising. I’m blown away at the reception of the new music, and I can’t wait to start peeling back more layers of the album with the other songs.”

Bentley continues to exceed expectations with the “autobiographical” (The Tennessean) and “ambitious material” (USA Today) found on BLACK, as he explores breakups, hookups, mess-ups and everything in between. Next, Bentley embarks on the the 40-city 2016 SOMEWHERE ON A BEACH TOUR with Randy Houser, Cam and Tucker Beathard on Thursday (5/12) in Holmdel, NJ.

First Round of Artists Announced To Strike Out Cancer with City of Hope

Some of Nashville’s hottest stars are coming out for the 26th Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game, presented by Staples, a fan favorite event and longstanding tradition of the CMA Music Festival. Playing to strike out cancer on the Grand Ole Opry and iHeartCountry teams will be Charles Esten, Vince Gill, Chris Lane, Scotty McCreery, Bret Michaels, David Nail, RaeLynn and Jamie Lynn Spears.

These stars will step up to the plate on Tuesday June 7th at 3 p.m. from the expansive new field at First Tennessee Park in Nashville, Tennessee, along with more names to be announced in the coming weeks.

Support from the Nashville community and its country music artists directly benefit City of Hope’s mission to find cures for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. A highlight of this year’s game will be when 8-year-old Aaron Yniquez a City of Hope patient from Redlands, California, will finally meet his donor Yolanda Nava, a Southwest Airlines® employee from Arlington, Texas. During his treatment for acute myeloid leukemia, Yniquez received a lifesaving donation of genetically matched stem cells from Nava, and the pair will meet for the first time at the 26th Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game in Nashville.

Bone marrow transplants offer a second chance for people with life-threatening blood cancers and other hematologic malignancies. Since 1976, more than 13,000 patients from virtually every state and dozens of countries have undergone bone marrow, cord blood or stem cell transplants at City of Hope.

Each year, the Celebrity Softball Game regularly features some of country music’s biggest and hottest stars, and this year will be honoring music industry veteran Bruce Hinton as the founder of the event and for his significant contributions to the game over its 25-year history. As the game embarks on its next 25 years, it is befitting to honor the man who conceived the event and made it a Nashville tradition. Over the years, Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Scotty McCreery, Vince Gill and many more have taken to the field in support of City of Hope’s lifesaving mission.

Tickets for the game can be purchased through Ticketmaster.  Those not able to attend the game can still support the cause. A variety of unique merchandise and experiences, including meet-and-greets with the hottest artists, will be available for bid at charitybuzz.com. The proceeds will benefit City of Hope’s mission to eradicate cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Logan Brill Signs With Warner Chappell Music

Red Light Management artist Logan Brill signs deal with Warner Chappell Music. Brill also made the move from BMI to ASCAP and continues to assemble her Nashville team including: Red Light Management, United Talent Agency, Scott Safford at Safford Motley, and HBPR.

“We’ve been watching Logan gracefully create a credible musical identity for herself in town and on the road,” said Ben Vaughn of Warner Chappell Music. “Logan loves to craft songs and also has a strong appreciation of great songs and the great songwriters that populate Nashville. Everyone at W/C is honored to be a part of her journey.”

Logan has honed her craft by co-writing with the likes of Scooter Carusoe, Nathan Chapman, Randy Montana and Devin Dawson. Her blues tinged, powerful vocals and versatility as a performer have earned opening slots for Vince Gill, The Band Perry, Gary Allan and Josh Turner, along with Dwight Yoakam, Old Dominion and Steve Earle.

Her smoldering, country meets rock vocals have made her a favorite among critics. Charleston Gazette boasts “Brill sounds somewhere between the country pop of Carrie Underwood and the bluesy, folk rock of Grace Potter.” Weeks ago, Cosmopolitan named the up and coming singer/songwriter “One of the 8 female country artists you should be listening to right now.” Rolling Stone Country named her one of “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know.” She has also recently earned praise from Associated Press, Billboard, CMT, Sounds Like Nashville, NASH, Taste Of Country and Huffington Post who called Brill’s recent release SHUTEYE “a wake up call for Nashville.”

Upcoming performances include: her sixth appearance on The Grand Ole Opry, Martha’s Vineyard Songwriting Festival, Taste Of Country Festival, Country Jam Festival, Headwaters Country Jam, as well as Logan’s third consecutive performance at KNCI’s Golf & Guitars event. Brill will be making her way across the country on a nationwide tour this summer and has been tapped to perform at the inaugural Nashville Meets London Music Festival.

“We’re so excited to have Logan performing at multiple festivals for us this summer. She has a great sound and we’re thrilled to further expose her to festival attendees,” said Matt LaRose, Vice President of Live Events at Townsquare Media.

Tucker Beathard Premieres “Rock On” Music Video

Singer/songwriter Tucker Beathard premiered his first-ever full length music video for his debut single “Rock On,” exclusively on PEOPLE. Directed by Good One, a filmmaking collaboration between brothers Ry and Drew Cox from LA, the Big Machine Label Group artist showcases his “hard-country edge” (Rolling Stone Country) as he reflects on a past love interest, who he is unaware is struggling herself since they parted ways.

Beathard co-wrote the song and plays both lead guitar and drums on the track, which was one of the most added songs at Country Radio in its debut week.

“Making a music video definitely felt surreal,” said Beathard. “Even though it isn’t really natural for me and the band to have a bunch of cameras around when we’re playing, we had some fun with it. Having a song on the radio, and now a music video makes it all feel real. We’ll be out on the road with Dierks this summer, which is crazy too. I can’t wait!”

Next week Beathard, who was recently singled out as an iHeartRadio “On The Verge” artist, will join Dierks Bentley for his 2016 SOMEWHERE ON A BEACH TOUR kicking off on May 12 in Holmdel, NJ.
