Chris Tomlin Releases Music Video for New Single “Home”

Christian artist superstar, Chris Tomlin, just released his new video for his new single, “Home.” It premiered yesterday on USA Today and it’s likely to invoke an emotional reaction. The beautifully crafted Christian song, which premiered on USA Today yesterday, could easily be likened to a male version of Carrie Underwood’s “Temporary Home.”

The theme of the song is about no matter what pain you suffer on Earth, there is eternal happiness in your Heavenly home and that where his heart longs to be. Because the song is close to Tomlin’s heart, he believes the video needed artistic storytelling to fully convey the message. There is a stark contrast between the gloomy scenery when Tomlin is referring to Earth and the bright white lights of a house when he talks about his Heavenly home.

The video is a message of hope, especially to those who are suffering through trials, that all bad things will eventually end when called to your Heavenly home.

Chris is one of Christian music’s most successful artists selling nearly 30 millions records that included hits like, “How Great Is Our God,” “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone),” and “Our God.” He has 15 No. 1’s, a Grammy Award and Time called him, ” most likely the most often sung artist anywhere” with more than 40 million people singing his songs each week.

Russell Dickerson’s “Blue Tacoma” Featured In New X-Men Movie “Logan”

Nashville-bred singer/songwriter Russell Dickerson recorded “Blue Tacoma” in 2016 before signing to Sony’s Triple Tigers label last year, however like many songs, they only better with time. Such is the case with “Blue Tacoma,” having been tapped for the new Marvel comics film Logan, a follow up to the X-Men favorite, Wolverine. The film, in theaters today, features actor Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in his latest X-Men movie.

“I’ve always been a huge X-Men fan! Since the very first movie,” said Dickerson after screening the film and hearing his song’s placement. “You write these songs and put them out into the universe, not knowing their lifespan or reach, so to have a song I wrote and recorded a few years ago appear in one of these Marvel movies today, well it’s the craziest feeling. Fifteen-year-old Russell would be so stoked!”

Dickerson released “Blue Tacoma” on his debut 2016 EP that produced the title track and SiriusXM and Spotify hit, “Yours.” His “hypnotic” (CMT) voice has grown a steadfast fanbase that earned him a spot on current Thomas Rhett’s 2017 Home Team Tour alongside Kelsea Ballerini and Ryan Hurd.

As the tenth movie in the X-Men series, the 20th Century Fox film shows Jackman’s character Logan (aka Wolverine) in a dystopian future for his last venture.

A Thousand Horses Releases Brand New Single “Preachin’ To The Choir”

Chart-topping band A Thousand Horses get back in the saddle with the release of “Preachin’ to the Choir.” The lead single from their sophomore project on BMLG Records features the Horses’ signature soul with standout vocals and harmonies, as Rolling Stone Country applauds, “’Preachin’ to the Choir’ is the Horses’ doctrine, a crisp blast of country-rock that extols the virtues of the 9 to 5.” The track is available now at all digital partners and ships to radio today. Get it here.

“We are excited to share the new music with fans and Country radio,” said lead vocalist Michael Hobby. “We have been away for a bit in the studio writing and recording but are now ready to get out there and perform the new stuff.”

Written by Heather Morgan, Morgan Wallen, Brad Warren and Brett Warren, “Preachin’ to the Choir” embodies A Thousand Horses’ Southern Rock roots and contemporary Country mix with lyrics like: “I ain’t rich, but I’m grateful / Every time I’m drivin’ with a tank full / ‘Simple Man’ comin’ through the dashboard speakers / I’m a southern rock sinner, believer and I’m preachin’ to the choir.” Hobby’s husky vocals are enhanced with Bill Satcher and Zach Brown on guitar and Graham Deloach on bass.

The new single is a fitting follow-up to their debut album SOUTHERNALITY, which featured their chart-topping single “Smoke.” The song marked the highest debut for a new artist’s first single in Country Aircheck history and solidified A Thousand Horses as the first band (with at least three members) to send their first single to No. 1 on Billboard Country Airplay Charts this decade.

A Thousand Horses will head to Austin on March 17 to perform at the Big Machine Label Group Showcase presented by TuneIn. The event begins at 8:30PM at Easy Tiger. The ACM New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year nominees will vie for the title at the 52nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards airing live on CBS from Las Vegas on April 2.

Fans can pre-order the new album now.

“There was a nostalgic feeling between the three of us while in the studio for this record, a feeling that was more reminiscent of our first albums,” said Jay DeMarcus. “The journey we’ve all been on together is unreal and I can honestly say I’m even more excited about what is ahead for us. BACK TO US is not only a title of a song on the album, but a feeling that has been building around this new music. It just fits in so many ways.”

“With this being our tenth album, we knew we wanted to be careful and deliberate in how we approached it,” said Gary LeVox. “This time around, the three of us have been able to really focus and work together on what we want to say at this point in our careers. We’ve all been so energized by the process of making this album and we still have a lot more music to make and we still actually like each other….for now.”

“Even though we do love to joke around, one of the best parts of being in the band is how much we really do enjoy each other’s company,” said Joe Don Rooney. “I think the comradery while recording BACK TO US has really lent itself to the spirit of the songs. We’re so excited for everyone else to hear how much fun we had making this.”
