Gentry was best known as a member of the award-winning country duo Montgomery Gentry, along with his longtime friend Eddie Montgomery. The pair began performing together in their home state of Kentucky and released their debut album, “Tattoos & Scars,” in 1999. The duo, whose trademark sound combined Southern Rock and Country, scored a string of No. 1 hits, including “If You Ever Stop Loving Me,” “Something to Be Proud Of,” “Lucky Man,” “Back When I Knew It All” and “Roll With Me.” They achieved Platinum certification on three of their albums and Gold certification on three others.

He was an active supporter of breast cancer awareness and research. Montgomery Gentry was honored with the Academy of Country Music’s Humanitarian Award in 2009.

Known for his wide smile, Gentry was personally driven by faith, family and living life to the fullest. He was happiest on the water with his family. He enjoyed both wake boarding and snow skiing. Gentry was also an active supporter of various athletic teams at his daughter Kaylee’s school.

A follower of Christ, Gentry faithfully attended Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood, Tenn., when he was not on the road. One of his favorite bible verses was Deuteronomy 31:6, which says, “Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Walker Hayes To Release Full Length Studio Album “boom.” December 8

Monument Records’ Walker Hayes releases boom., his long-awaited, full-length studio album, nationwide Friday, Dec. 8. Hayes, who wrote or co-wrote every song on the 10-track album, many with ambiguous song titles, chose an album title that may well be his only instance where the title might give away the meaning.

“’boom!’ It’s my favorite word. It’s what I text my team every time another station adds ‘You Broke Up With Me’… It’s the first thing I say after I play a song from the album for anyone. So, it’s what we had to call the album. I’m just so excited to share another part of the story. BOOM!”

boom. is produced by GRAMMY-Award winning producer Shane McAnally – and is now available for pre-order. “You Broke Up With Me,” the project’s debut single, has already accrued over 25 million streams. At mainstream country radio, it’s just hit the Top 30 and is climbing.

In anticipation of his new album, Hayes is releasing “Beautiful,” the first of four instant grat tracks, directly to the fans who can’t get enough of what People calls his “irresistibly quirky” songwriting. Written entirely by Hayes, “Beautiful” lands on SiriusXM’s “The Highway” today. Just a preview of what to expect from boom. this December. “Beautiful” is available here.

One of Rolling Stone’s 2017 “Country Artists to Watch,” Hayes gained national attention last year with 8Tracks Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Sixteen self-written and recorded songs, released through SMACKSongs and Rarespark Media Group, catapulted the singer/songwriter from working night shifts at Costco to the top of the music charts — and onto tours with Dan + Shay and Bobby Bones’ Funny and Alone Comedy Tour. That momentum has earned him a highly coveted opening spot on Thomas Rhett’s Home Team Tour, starting Sept. 22 at Los Angeles’ Greek Theater.

Entertainment Weekly noted Hayes’ unique hybrid’s “genre blending” and NPR’s World Café raved Hayes is “writing these really autobiographical songs and delivering them in this way that feels very intimate, very close range.” Rolling Stone concurred, “…he writes songs that are damn near impossible to classify, and that’s what makes them so interesting.”

Russell Dickerson Releases New Song “Billions” with YOURS Album Pre-Order

Russell Dickerson released his lively instant grat track “Billions” today on all digital retailers and streaming services. The long awaited fresh taste of music from his upcoming debut album YOURS comes as the lead single, also titled Yours,” reaches RIAA Gold status and enters Top 30 on both the Mediabase and Billboard Country charts. Fans who preorder YOURS, due October 13 on Triple Tigers Records, will receive “Billions” today.

“I’m so excited for everyone to have ‘Billions’ in their ears!” said Dickerson. “It is so much of my personality in a song. It’s fun, upbeat, and completely over the top!”

“Billions,” co-written by Dickerson, Parker Welling and YOURS producer Casey Brown, the same team that wrote “Yours,” is a light-hearted look at the riches that would flow if love was turned into money with lyrics like:

If lovin’ was money, how much you think we’ve made
If kisses were cash, we’d never stop makin’ it rain
The way that I picture it, our pockets thicker than Bill Gates
If lovin’ was money, we’d make it all the way to the bank

A year after Dickerson released his first five songs from YOURS that have amassed more than 115 million online streams, fans now get a fresh sampling of the upcoming album with “Billions.” All 12 tracks on YOURS are co-written by Dickerson and his “propensity for syncopated melodies” (Billboard) and are full of mostly up-beat tracks revolving around being madly in love. The debut album includes lead single also titled “Yours” that Dickerson performed on ABC’s The Bachelorette and NBC’s TODAY show earlier this year as well as the song that has “caught fire” (Rolling Stone Country) digitally “Blue Tacoma.”

“Yours” has been called the love song of the year by wedding publication The Knot. The single, propelled by SiriusXM’s support and Spotify’s play-listing, alone has more than 60 million online streams and over 6 million views on YouTube for its music video directed by and starring the subject of the song, his wife.
