It’s been two weeks since the passing of Dolly Parton, but her incredible legacy continues to shine bright, especially in the heart of downtown Nashville.
Dolly’s connection to Music City is about to become even more special with the September 29 opening of Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel and Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum, two brand new experiences celebrating the country music icon’s extraordinary life, music and legacy.
Created in partnership with Dolly Parton and Herschend, SongTeller Hotel features 245 guest rooms and suites, two live entertainment venues, a café and plenty of Dolly inspired touches throughout. Jolene’s, located on the hotel’s top floor, will feature nightly performances from rising singers and songwriters, along with cocktails, small plates and desserts. Parton’s Live, located on the second floor, will offer an intimate look at Nashville’s songwriting culture with writer rounds, songwriter sessions and showcases featuring up-and-coming artists, and will also feature shareable plates, desserts and seasonal cocktails.
Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum, created by Dolly Parton Productions, will take over the third floor of the hotel, giving fans an up-close look at the life, music and legacy of one of country music’s most beloved icons. The immersive experience will feature personal stories, rarely seen items from Dolly’s collection and interactive exhibits, along with newly filmed content of Dolly sharing stories from her incredible journey.
The entertainment lineup kicks off in September at Parton’s Live, with Dolly’s family members and emerging artists taking the stage. Parton’s cousin Richie Owens performs September 16, while her niece Jada Star begins a twice-weekly artist residency September 17 and 19. The hotel will also partner with FEMcountry for monthly performances highlighting established female artists and songwriters.
