When moments come full circle, they make an already special moment even more meaningful. Josh Turner had one of those moments last week onstage at Country In The Burg in Wisconsin when Scotty McCreery presented him with a 5x Platinum plaque celebrating the massive success of his hit single, “Your Man.”
The iconic country song has officially been certified 5x Platinum by the RIAA, which represents more than 5 million units sold. In addition to this incredible milestone, “Would You Go With Me” is now certified 4x Platinum, and “Me and God” has earned Gold certification.
The connection between Turner and McCreery with “Your Man” has been exciting to see (and hear) unfold. From McCreery auditioning for American Idol with the hit song, to Turner surprising the American Idol contestant during his hometown show, to the new version of “Your Man” the pair recently recorded together for McCreery’s latest album, 15. Talk about a solid bond between these two talented artists!
Josh Turner’s album Your Man was originally released in 2006 and went on to give him his first No.1. Twenty years later, the timeless song is still going strong and is one of the most recognizable songs in country music.
