Carrie Underwood is getting ready to touchdown and kick off another season of NBC’s Sunday Night Football, as she’s set to return for her 14th consecutive year as the face and voice of the Sunday night football game opener.
The award winning artist will delivering a fresh new take for the the intro this season that will include Underwood performing in three different settings which includes a recording studio, an intimate music venue, and a packed stadium concert. Carrie’s love for rock music is no secret and the new production leans into it amplifying the iconic “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” anthem with even more energy while staying true to its original roots inspired by Joan Jett’s “I Hate Myself for Loving You.”

The new Sunday Night Football opener officially debuts September 13 as the NFL season kicks off its season featuring the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. While that official game opener is weeks away, fans will be able to get a sneak peek in just a few days as a preview is set to air during the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on August 6.
