Austin-born songwriter and newly signed RECORDS Nashville artist George Birge’s viral smash single “Beer Beer, Truck Truck,” which has accumulated nearly 4 million streams, officially impacts country radio.
The story of how George’s debut single came to creation is undeniably unique and the story continues to evolve. An established songwriter in the Nashville community, George was advised by Clay Walker during a songwriting session to create a TikTok account to drive fans to his music. There, George saw a viral video of a made-up song from influencer and elementary music educator Erynn Chambers (@rynnstar), who joked that men in country music only sing about “Beer beer, truck truck, girls in tight jeans.”
In response, George put a twist on her chorus in “Beer Beer, Truck Truck,” acknowledging the country music tropes but also proving that even a seemingly mundane phrase can inspire a great, multi-faceted song. George’s clip of the song on TikTok blew up with 3 million views in just days, and fans urged George to record and release a finished version. He did just that, and credited Erynn as a songwriter on the track.
The song that George never intended to finish is now catching fire – he was invited to appear on The Bobby Bones Show and the track has received high praise from media.
George will be featured on a track on Nelly’s forthcoming “Heartland” EP and is also a co-writer on Clay Walker’s current single “Need A Bar Sometimes.” George has also written songs with artists such as Matt Stell, Chris Lane, Colt Ford, Tyler Farr, Gary LeVox and Jay Demarcus, among others.
