A strong debut, “Wild West” secured its position as a Top 3 Most Added song at Country radio this week. Serving as the follow-up to its record-smashing Top 25 debut “Lipstick,” the sweeping standout has already been declared “one of 2017’s best singles” (One Country).
Written by Runaway June’s Jennifer Wayne along with Justin Lantz and Billy Montana, the song is a nod to the fast-rising trio’s rich Country influences and masterfully blends vivid storytelling with vibrant melodies.
A CMT Next Women of Country Act, Runaway June’s ‘Wild West’ will soon come to life as CMT Hot 20 Countdown is set to premiere the official music video on October 7. Directed by Traci Goudie and John Murphy, the breathtaking video was shot in New Mexico and features Naomi, Hannah and Jennifer in epically heroic roles. CMT Hot 20 Countdown airs Saturday and Sunday at 9/8am CT.
