Platinum-selling singer-songwriter Brett Eldredge loves to release new music to his fans, and today is a happy day for all of them as he releases “The Long Way,” a new track from his forthcoming self-titled album set for release on Aug. 4. “Instant download tracks are my favorite things about releasing an album, because you get to release them before the full record comes out,” Eldredge said. “I don’t like to wait and I don’t like my fans to wait!”
Written by Eldredge and Matt Rogers, “The Long Way” is one of Eldredge’s favorite songs on the new album. “For me, ‘Long Way’ stands out as such a powerful look at love and that search for something deeper. It’s about that big moment when you finally meet the person you’ve been waiting to meet, and you want to know everything about them. You don’t just want a quick breeze through their hometown and life, you want to take the long way. It’s a beautiful sentiment about love.” Check out the new song here:

The album is propelled by his Top 30 and climbing single “Somethin’ I’m Good At,” which already boasts over 10.2 million on-demand streams. He debuted the song on national television with his performance on the 52nd ACM Awards, and it quickly earned praise with Rolling Stone proclaiming “…it’s as entertaining as it is unpredictable…” and Taste of Country declaring, “Brett Eldredge’s new single ‘Somethin’ I’m Good At’ is a flat out, all-caps, country music JAM.” Eldredge will perform the song on the CMT Awards on June 7.
Eldredge is launching into the biggest summer of his career hot off of year of success. His No. 1 single “Wanna Be That Song” was recently certified Gold by the RIAA and just earned a nomination for his first-ever CMT Video of the Year Award. He has earned a total of seven chart-topping hits, including his holiday duet “Baby It’s Cold Outside” with Grammy-winner Meghan Trainor, and is taking all of them and more on the road for Luke Bryan’s “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” tour.
