Leave it to Brett Eldredge to deliver an epic music video! Bringing his latest single, “Wanna Be That Song,” to life, Eldredge went back to his home state of Illinois and created a remarkable video using Wrigley Field as a captivating setting. This marks the first music video ever to be filmed at the historic location. (watch below)
“I chose Wrigley Field because I grew up going to games there and I’ve been a diehard Cubs fan from the day I was born,” said Eldredge. “I’ve got childhood pictures from when I was still in diapers in a Cubs uniform. I love Wrigley Field, it’s such a magical place.”
Eldredge paints the picture of a journey throughout his video, complete with many memorable moments taking place at a location that is near and dear to him. The creativity and imagery throughout the entire video is extraordinary. “I wanted to capture this video in this stadium because “Wanna Be That Song” is all about those big moments in life, and a lot of my big moments have involved this place and this city,” said Eldredge.
To make the release even more memorable, Eldredge premiered the music video on the Jumbotron at Wrigley Field prior to the game earlier this week on June 21. In addition, Brett threw out the ceremonial first pitch and lead the crowd with “Take Me Out The The Ballgame” during the seventh inning stretch.
“Wanna Be That Song” is the third release from the country sensation’s sophomore album, Illinois.
Eldredge is currently out on the road with Keith Urban on Urban’s ripCord World Tour, as well as several of his own headlining dates. For a complete list of tour dates, please visit here.
