As the RIAA certifies her debut single “Wasting All These Tears” PLATINUM for sales surpassing 1 million downloads, Cassadee Pope solidifies her standing in an elite group of only three other women to achieve the milestone. Not since Taylor Swift in 2006 has a solo female country artist gone platinum on their debut single.
Cassadee, who garnered fans and often dominated the #1 spot on iTunes prior to winning season three of The Voice, returned to the show last summer to premiere the song. The lead single has been a successful introduction to Cassadee’s Republic Nashville album FRAME BY FRAME, which debuted in the upper echelon on the Billboard charts – #1 Top Country Albums and Top 10 all-genre Top Albums. The achievement marked Cassadee as one of only two solo women in the past five years to top the Country chart with a debut release.
Cassadee recently released a follow-up single, “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart,” which has created buzz online with over 640,000 views of the accompanying video – watch here.
She has been an ambassador for hunger issues, helping to secure over 20 million meals across the country through an initiative with her record label Big Machine Label Group, General Mills and Feeding America called Outnumber Hunger. On April 4, Cassadee will join labelmates at “Outnumber Hunger Live!” during the ACM Party For A Cause Festival before heading to Nashville for a performance at the 2014 NCAA Women’s Final Four on April 8.
This Summer, she will join Tim McGraw’s SUNDOWN HEAVEN TOWN 2014 TOUR and has previously toured with Rascal Flatts and in Canada with Dean Brody. For tour dates and more, visit CassadeePope.com.
