Dustin Lynch is on a roll these days! The multi-platinum hitmaker just released Setlist Staples – 10 #1’s, an album of hits that houses all ten of his Country Radio chart-toppers and serves as a solid foundation for his live show. Now, the singer/songwriter is gearing up to release even more new music with Clean Slate set to arrive October 30.
Serving as his seventh studio album,Clean Slate finds Lynch reflecting on life, love, heartbreak and everything in between. The country artist co-wrote seven songs on the 12-track project, which also features Ashley Cooke on “How You Been” and MC4D on the closing track, “Home To You.”
“There’s a lot of life on this record,” Dustin shares about the new album. “Falling for somebody, missing somebody, looking back at things you might do differently now, going out and having a damn good time, and figuring out what matters when everything else gets quiet. I’ve lived a lot of life since my first record, and I wanted this album to feel true to where I am today while still sounding like me.”
While the new album doesn’t drop until the end of October, Dustin isn’t making fans wait for new music. The country star is releasing “Made In A Bottle” on September 4. Lynch has been testing the new song out on the road during his live shows and the fans quickly embraced the honky-tonk driven anthem.
“We started playing ‘Made In A Bottle’ live this summer and the reaction was immediate,” shares Lynch. “I love the energy of it and the rhythmic pocket in that chorus. You can’t help but move along to it. Production-wise, we wanted it to feel like you’re right there in the middle of our live show. There aren’t a bunch of studio tricks. It’s real instruments and real players, and it’s just a great honky-tonk song. We’ve road-tested it all summer, and it fits our show perfectly.”
