Country singer/songwriter Alannah McCready has released her latest single “Something Like That.” The pop infused country track delivers a message of hope and respect, and serves as a solid new track for the artist on the rise.

We caught up with Alannah McCready during Country Radio Seminar’s (CRS) virtual event earlier this year where she shared details with us about her new music and more. Check out our exclusive interview Alannah, and be sure to pick up her latest single “Something Like That.”

McCready makes for a wonderful addition to the Women in Country Music platform, and we can’t wait to hear more of what is ahead from this talented artist. Be sure to keep up with Alannah McCready by visiting her Website and following along on her Instagram, FacebookTwitter and YouTube.

Country Music Rocks (CMR): Tell us a little about your new collection of music in 2021, what can fans expect?
Alannah McCready: My new EP coming out in 2021 is the most relatable music I’ve written to date. The songs are very personal and come from personal experiences and a real place of emotion that I don’t think my fans have really seen from me yet.
The first single, “Something Like That,” will be available everywhere on Feb. 26. It digs into what I now want from a relationship (and what I think most people want as well). It doesn’t need to be all of these fancy things, all we really need are simple things to be happy and if I’m dating you and you can’t give me something like that then it’s probably not going to work.
I am very excited to share this new collection of music with everyone!

CMR:  Even though 2021 is not completely certain quite yet, what are some of your career goals throughout the year?
Alannah McCready: 2021 will be the first time I have released music in three years, so I am very much looking forward to releasing my 3rd studio project. I hope to be back out on the road playing live shows as soon as we are able to safely do so!

CMR:  In addition to performing, what else did you miss most not being able to be out on the road last year during 2020?
Alannah McCready: The FANS! We have all been playing Zoom shows but there is just nothing that compares to playing a show and seeing all of those smiling faces right in front of you singing along to the music!

CMR: If everything goes as planned, and performing/touring resumes for this year, how would you best describe your shows/set for 2021?
Alannah McCready: Hopefully we’ll have some great shows and get to play some music that makes people dance and smile and remember how amazing live music is!

CMR: As fans continue to get to know you, what is one thing you would like to convey to fans about you and your music?
Alannah McCready: I hope it helps them as much as it helps me, in whatever way that may be. If you’re happy I hope my music keeps you happy. If you’re sad, I hope my music helps you heal a little by listening to it and knowing you’re not the only one going through tough situations.

CMR: Even though CRS is quite a bit different this year, we are still celebrating country radio which is such a staple to everyone in the country music community. What is one of your all time favorite country songs that you just can’t get enough of country radio?
Alannah McCready: That is so tough! Of all time? Wow, I mean probably Shania Twain’s “You’re Still The One.”
