Only a year and a half after the release of his last No. 1 album If I’m Honest, Blake Shelton once again visits the peak of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart this week with Texoma Shore. The Oklahoman’s storied career began back in 2001 with the release of his self-titled album, and the Platinum-selling recording artist now delivers his sixth chart-topping country record and eleventh all-genre Top 10.
“I can’t believe that 17 years into making records and my fans are still so supportive,” said Shelton. “I mean a No. 1 album? When I think it can’t get any better, it does – thanks to them. I love you all!”
The country superstar has scored at least one entry on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart for eight consecutive years, including If I’m Honest (No. 3, 2016), Reloaded: 20 #1 Hits (No. 5, 2015), Bringing Back the Sunshine (No. 1, 2014), Based on a True Story (No. 3, 2013), Cheers, It’s Christmas (No. 8, 2012), Red River Blue (No. 1, 2011) Loaded: The Best of Blake Shelton (No. 11 in 2011), All About Tonight (No. 6, 2010) and Hillbilly Bone (No. 3, 2010). He has six Platinum and four Gold-certified albums to his name, along with a string of two dozen No. 1 hit singles. His most recent tune to hit radio, “I’ll Name The Dogs,” continues to rocket up the charts, reaching Top 10 within just eight weeks.
Shelton celebrated the Texoma Shore launch the week leading up to its release with worldwide song premieres, special Facebook Live events, concerts in both New York and Nashville and performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, TODAY, Late Night With Seth Meyers and LIVE with Kelly and Ryan. As the year draws to a close, Shelton will conclude his 13th season as a coach on NBC’s The Voice. He will kick start 2018 by taking brand new Texoma Shore tracks and old favorites on the road for his headlining “Country Music Freaks” Tour alongside Brett Eldredge, Carly Pearce and special guest Trace Adkins.
