Columbia Nashville recording artist Tyler Farr tied the knot on Monday, October 10, to longtime girlfriend Hannah Freeman. The ceremony took place during the evening outdoors at a location near Nashville in Nolensville, TN. Over 200 guests attended including Jason Aldean, Lee Brice and Colt Ford who were all part of the wedding party.
The singer/songwriter shared with PEOPLE that Hannah wanted him to write a song for their wedding. “I’ve written a ton of songs about her but she wanted one for our wedding,” Farr tells PEOPLE. “My buddy Lee Brice wrote ‘I Don’t Dance’ for his own wedding — the perfect wedding first dance song! — and I could not live up to that expectation.”
While Farr did not end up writing his wife a song for their wedding day, he certainly made up for it with an epic surprise! Tyler got a sneak peak of Brad Paisley’s new single, “Today,” while out on tour with the country superstar. After the first listen of the new song, Farr asked Paisley for a favor. “I was on his bus and he showed me the video and I just teared up,” Tyler shares with PEOPLE. “I’m very blunt and I was like, ‘That song was amazing and I want to surprise my fiancée with something really special. Would you come and play this song for our first dance?’”
As you can see from the video, Paisley said yes and Tyler surprised his wife, and their guests, with an amazing serenade from Brad Paisley of his new track, “Today.” “She had no idea. It was so cool of Brad to take the time to do that. He’s a good friend and a great guy.” For additional details, please visit PEOPLE Here
