Summer is beginning to wind down as we start approaching the fall and winter months, however, that doesn’t mean you can’t start planning your 2017 festival schedule now! Tortuga Music Festival is set to return for its 5th annual event to Rock The Ocean, and country superstar Kenny Chesney is the first artist announced to headline the 2017 event.
The upcoming festival in 2017 will serve as Chesney’s third time headlining the country music festival that brings attention to issues affecting the oceans, a cause that is near and dear to the singer/songewriter. Additionally, at this time, this will be one of the handful of dates that Chesney will play in 2017. It has been confirmed to Rolling Stone Country that Kenny will not embark on a full tour next year.
The Tortuga Music Festival will once again be held over the course of three days, April 7 – April 9 2017, on Fort Lauderdale Beach Park in Florida. Tickets are available now at TortugaMusicFestival.com or by calling 877-987-6487.
“With our expansion last year to three days, our fans showed how excited they were to get an extra day of Tortuga time on the beach,” says HUKA Entertainment Chief Experience Officer A.J. Niland. “We’ve had a unanimously tremendous response from the artists, fans and community expressing what a unique and special event Tortuga has become. More than 90,000 fans attended last year. And we know our fifth year will be even better!”
The Tortuga Music Festival consistently brings in top-notch talent for the event, and this coming year sounds to be another stellar one in the making. While additional performers have yet to be announced, Niland has indicated that 2017 will be “our strongest one yet!”
