Rising country artist Canaan Smith is set out to “Smash Cancer” with his new initiative to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Earlier this year, Canaan felt the urge to smash something while on stage. After observing the massive response from fans, Smith was inspired to continue moving forward with this action all while making it for a good cause.
After the conclusion of each of his shows, Canaan autographs the drum used earlier in his set and auctions it off to fans that are in attendance. Prior to the official launch of his Smash Cancer Initiative, Smith had already raised close to $20,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
