History-making band A Thousand Horses are showcasing their Southern personalities on another level with the release of a music video for “Southernailty.” The title track, which recently hit Country radio, has been making an impact with fans during their live show.
Director Shaun Silva (TackleBox Films) filmed scenes from A Thousand Horses’ high-energy performances throughout their current stint opening on Jason Aldean’s WE WERE HERE TOUR. The end result also features the band in front of a green screen in Nashville.
“This was a really fun shoot since we got to film most of it in a concert setting,” said frontman Michael Hobby. “Our fans relate to the message of this song and we love getting to show our Southern personalities when we perform.”
Early reviews about the song which is the third track released from their debut album Southernality reflect:
“A Thousand Horses, who mix polished country with gritty Southern rock and soul, are…helping lead the charge.”
– Rolling Stone Country
“Grit, swagger and twang for those who forgot what real country music sounds like.”
– Nash Country Weekly
“The band are at their best on stage, and one hears that immediately on this loose, live-like recording.”
– Taste of Country
