Jake Owen’s “American Country Love Song” is the No. 1 most added single this week at country radio, which is one week prior to the official add date. The song is available now at all digital retail partners.
Last week, Jake made a promise to himself and his fans that he was going to drive his recently purchased 1966 VW bus, which he named the “Love Bus,” from Nashville to Key West, Florida, beginning Saturday, March 5th. Mission accomplished. Over a few days, he made multiple stops along the way to hang out and meet people plus perform some tunes. He also involved fans digitally by chronicling the trip on his social media platforms in real time, accumulating millions of impressions in the four-day trip. In addition, the music video for “American County Love Song” was filmed throughout the long journey by Director Jeff Venable.
“Man, this road trip has been a blast and it’s really changed my life,” Jake says. “It showed me that when you can make people smile, it’s inspiring. I hope everyone we met along the way felt the joy that I felt. We made this “Love Bus” road trip together. I really appreciate everyone who came out to some of our destinations and everyone traveling with me via social media all the way from Nashville to Key West. For a few days, we made life our playground and we shared moments I’ll never forget. It was awesome!”
