Following the release of his holiday song, “Wild Christmas,” rising country crooner, Dean Alexander, rang in the New Year by proposing to longtime girlfriend, Liz Bock. Alexander spontaneously popped the question while the couple was vacationing in Sonoma, Calif. The pair met by chance five years ago on a ferry ride in Australia.

Following the success of “Live A Little,” named one of “Tomorrow’s Hits” by Billboard, which was released through Elektra Nashville (Warner Music Group division), Alexander went on to co-write “If My Heart Can Handle It,” which was featured on ABC’s award winning series, “Nashville.”

Dubbed by Country Weekly as “One to Watch,” the singer songwriter says he is more motivated than ever to be authentic and make music he is proud of. The singer-songwriter has started working on a new project with an old friend, writer and producer, Danny Myrick (“She’s Country” by Jason Aldean). Myrick descirbes the project, “equal parts Sergio Leone spaghetti western, midnight Tarentino desert roadhouse, Dick Dale and Dwight Yoakam on steroids,” adding, “Dean Alexander has found a new sound. He calls it “Acid Western,” I call it badass.”

Alexander is continuing to work on new music and planning for an EP release in 2016.
