Country Duo Smithfield, comprised of Jennifer Fielder and Trey Smith, just recently released their debut self-titled EP. The new collection of music features eight solid songs, and serves as a solid introduction to the country newcomers.
To celebrate the release of Smithfield’s new music, we’re so excited here at CountryMusicRocks to exclusively premiere the music video for “If I Were You.”
Of the new song, Jennifer and Trey share, “”If I Were You” is a heartbreak song from a different angle. It’s about a guy that see’s his ex out with someone else, but instead of thinking about what he would say to her, he has this inner monologue of what he would say to this new guy. It’s a song about lost love and regret, mixed with a catchy pop melody.”
