Riding the wave of one of the summer’s biggest hits, Chris Janson will release his Warner Bros. Records/Warner Music Nashville debut album Buy Me a Boat on Oct. 30.
Buy Me a Boat is co-produced by Janson along with Brent Anderson, Chris DuBois and Byron Gallimore and will feature 11 songs written or co-written by Janson, including the title track, which has already reached Gold sales status of more than 650,000 singles sold and is nearing #1 on the country chart. The album is the culmination of a decade of work in Nashville where he moved at the age of 19.
“I’m so excited about my debut album,” Janson said. “I wrote all the songs on the record, so it’s truly who I am and it’s what I wanted to say. I wanted it to show all of me. It’s fun and it can be rowdy, but there are also quiet and reserved moments. It’s a roller coaster. We’ve been promising people for years we would release an album, and 10 years in the making, we’re gonna release it!”
“Buy Me a Boat” has made Janson one of country music’s most visible figures since he signed his deal with WMN earlier this year. He made his television debut, has played the Grand Ole Opry and will now join the Bayer Presents Luke Bryan Farm Tour 2015 later this month. The multi-city tour which features stops in the Midwest and South opens Sept. 30 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
