It was a hectic and scary morning for Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott. On the way to Dallas, TX for the upcoming ACM Awards, Hillary’s bus caught on fire.
Hillary, her husband, tour manager and driver were on board at the time of the fire. They evacuated the bus quickly and safely. Thankfully, nobody sustained any injuries. Scott took to social media and posted a photo of the bus and said, “Hey guys, we had a crazy morning on the way to Dallas today. Our bus tire caught on fire and we had to evacuate very quickly. EVERYONE IS SAFE AND SOUND. It was me, my husband, our tour manager, and driver. Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe. Love you all!!!! ~hillary“
Shortly thereafter, Scott followed up with another message to fans, “I just got this picture from the scene of the fire and HAD to share this. Today, when our bus caught on fire we had quite a few personal belongings in the back (where I was asleep before evacuating the bus) one of them being my Bible. I kid you not, EVERYTHING in the back lounge was destroyed from the flames, except my Bible. The outside cover was burned and messed up but NOT ONE PAGE was missing. Yall, God’s Word will always stand. He is FOR YOU, WILL PROTECT YOU, AND HIS LOVE FOR YOU WILL NEVER FADE. My faith is forever deepened because of today. I hope this story deepens yours. -hills“
We are so glad to hear the Hillary and crew are safe and sound, and huge thanks to the first responders that were on site to take care of the situation.
