Gary Allan Hangover Tonight - CountryMusicRocks.net

Gary Allan is starting to hit the airwaves with his new single, “Hangover Tonight,” a song he co-wrote with Chris Stapleton, Jesse Frasure and Carey Barlowe. The song is the first release from his forthcoming, as-yet-untitled album – the follow-up to the hit album, Set You Free, which included the No. 1 tune, “Every Storm Runs Out of Rain.”

Gary is thrilled for the song to be added to stations across the country and says the feel of the song is a bit of a throwback to his youth. “[I’m] super excited about this single going to radio,” says Gary. “I feel like it’s the fourth or fifth time we’ve re-invented myself, or I have, or just trying to push myself to do different things. I feel like I’ve pushed myself into a very comfortable place for myself, because it’s kind of ‘50s and ‘60s Motown.”

“I was in rockabilly bands my whole life, and to me, it was just a throwback to my youth writing with these guys,” he adds.

Gary’s got a few days off before he heads to Mercedes, Texas for a show on March 13th.
