Blake Shelton is releasing the sexy new single “Sangria,” turning the emotional page after his wistful “Lonely Tonight” duet with Ashley Monroe became his record 14th straight No. 1 single.

Although “Sangria” won’t be hitting country radio until April 6th, the edgy new music video debuted exclusively on Vessel.com where it will be available for 48 hours. Warner Music Nashville is partnering with Vessel, a premium video service that gives passionate fans early access to short-format videos from their favorite creators for a low monthly price, to debut videos from several of its artists through the service. Starting this week with Shelton and Australian brother duo for KING & COUNTRY and followed by other artists in the near future including Jana Kramer, Hunter Hayes and Brett Eldredge.

While Shelton’s done passionate love songs before, “Sangria” is something new, capturing that moment when passion sweeps you away. “’Sangria’ is one of the sexiest songs I’ve ever cut,” Shelton said. “It sounds like something that came from a different time, almost like something Chris Isaak would have had on one of his records at some point. It’s just about one of those nights where you drink too much and you’re gonna end up hookin’ up with this person, it’s just inevitable. It’s not too over the top, but it’s pure sex – that’s the only way I know to describe that song.”

“Sangria,” written by J.T. Harding, Josh Osborne and Trevor Rosen, is the third single from “The Voice” star’s 11th studio album, the Scott Hendricks-produced BRINGING BACK THE SUNSHINE. Both “Neon Light” and “Lonely Tonight” went No. 1, extending Shelton’s record for consecutive chart-toppers. He’s now got 19 No. 1 singles. The video for the song was shot at The Lady Smith, the romantic bed and breakfast owned by Shelton’s wife, Miranda Lambert in their hometown of Tishomingo, OK.

The single lands as the former Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year and five-time Male Vocalist of the Year winner participates in his eighth season as a coach on “The Voice.” And next month Shelton co-hosts the 50th annual Academy of Country Music Awards with good friend Luke Bryan on April 19 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys. It’s Shelton’s fifth time co-hosting the show.
