Lunging ahead of the pack in 2015, A THOUSAND HORSES is already on fire with critics and fans alike embracing the Southern Rock flare showcased on their lead single, “Smoke.” The sizzling track made Country Aircheck history as the highest debut for a new artist’s first single coming in at #28.

The brand new video for “Smoke” premiered today (1/23) exclusively on CMT, in partnership with Vevo, and it will be available wide on Vevo beginning tomorrow (1/24). Watch now.

Already named one of USA Today’s “Artists to Watch” in 2015 and hailed by Rolling Stone Country as the “Best Up-and-Comer” during Austin City Limits in 2014, A Thousand Horses will release their first album, SOUTHERNALITY, June 9 on Republic Nashville. Fans can pre-order the album now on iTunes.

“We are so overwhelmed by the positive response to the single and are so happy that radio is loving it,” said frontman Michael Hobby. “This past year has been crazy, in the best way possible, and we are looking forward to everyone to hearing the new album.”

A Thousand Horses is comprised of Hobby, Bill Satcher (Lead Guitar), Zach Brown (Guitar and Vocal) and Graham Deloach (Bass and Vocal) with “three ‘boho-chic backup singers”– as Rolling Stone Country referred to Kristen Rogers, Whitney Coleman and Brianne Angarole – rounding out the nine-piece band with a Southern Gospel/R&B authenticity and confidence.

“After drawing raves for its set at the Austin City Limits Festival in October, the band may finally have found a home in the country-music scene,” praised USA Today.

Roughstock raved, “A Thousand Horses are one of the top new artists debuting in 2015. Blending their influences into a cohesive mixture that can only be called Southern Country Rock, A Thousand Horses lead single ‘Smoke’ is ready to take the talented four piece band to the mainstream success…”

Beginning in May, A Thousand Horses will hit the road on Darius Rucker’s Southern Style Tour. Tickets will go on sale in select cities on Monday (1/26).
