Hot country newcomer Chris Lane is gearing up for the release of his debut single “Broken Windshield View” to country radio today, 6/10. Hitting just in time for summer, the catchy song is currently featured on SiriusXM’s The Highway and highlighted as New and Noteworthy on iTunes.
Produced by Joey Moi (Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen) and written by hit-makers Rodney Clawson, Shane Minor, and David Lee Murphy, “Broken Windshield View” is a fast-paced, guitar-fueled song that highlights Lane’s standout vocals. The tune vividly captures life growing up in the country, which for this Kernersville, NC, native hits close to home.
“Growing up in the country, I would ride around with my dad in his landscaping truck and it always had a broken windshield. Still does today,” shared Lane. “The minute I heard this song I knew I had to record it … I lived this. The song is fun, fast and rockin’. I can’t wait for country fans to hear it!”
Superstar duo Florida Georgia Line is already buzzing about “Broken Windshield View” across their social networks and tapped the talented singer to open their major headline run this summer – THIS IS HOW WE ROLL SUMMER SERIES 2014 – featuring special guest Nelly.
Lane has been making waves in the country music scene in North Carolina, selling out club shows all across the state. He has played well over 500 shows the past few years and opened for The Band Perry, Eli Young Band, Lee Brice, Chris Young, Brantley Gilbert, among others. Lane recently signed with Big Loud Mountain and is in the studio recording his first EP with acclaimed producer Joey Moi.
