Country newcomer Allison Veltz is in love….puppy love. The clever and heartfelt lyric video for her catchy debut single “Bright Side,” features a furry friend named Penny who was adopted from the Nashville Humane Association. The video, shot in Nashville by Justin Key (Taylor Swift, The Band Perry), premiered last weekend by Country Weekly via their website.
Originally found wandering the streets of Nashville, Penny has blossomed into a social butterfly since her adoption from the Nashville Humane Association. She loves sunbathing and napping, and is the star of Allison’s “Bright Side” lyric video. Already considering adopting a pet, Allison’s time on the video set with Penny cemented her decision and led to the adoption of her own rescue pup, Bruno, from the Nashville Humane Association.
To show her appreciation for Penny’s hard work on the set of the video, Allison is proud to announce the “Pennies For Penny” campaign. Allison and her label, Blaster Records, will kick the campaign off with a donation and fans can pitch in by watching the video between June 30 and July 20. For every view, an additional penny will be donated to the Nashville Humane Association, where Penny was sheltered while waiting for a new home. The money will be donated in Penny’s honor to help more dogs find their forever homes. The video can be viewed HERE with the single available now on iTunes.
Produced by Mark Bright (Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, Sara Evans) and ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Dan Muckala, the song breathes with the reality of life’s ups and downs, highlighted by whistles, mandolin, and Allison’s flowing and faultless vocals.
