Following her debut Top 40 single “Take the Keys” at country radio, Columbia Nashville powerhouse Leah Turner is set to unveil her next single, “Pull Me Back,” to country radio in late April, before hitting the road with Brad Paisley in May.
The California-raised singer took to her Facebook Page to share the exciting news with her fans. Written by Leah, Jon Nite and Jimmy Robbins, the song highlights an emotional vulnerability to the normally fiery star, showcasing Leah’s distinct vocals as she offers listeners a glimpse into a relationship’s pivotal “make-or-break” moment.
“’Pull Me Back’ is a song about a personal experience I went through not that long ago. We have all been there, where the far corner of the bed seems like a better place to hug than the one laying next to you. Sometimes pride can get the best of you in a relationship. You push away someone you care about to protect yourself from being hurt, when what you really want to say is ‘I want you to be strong enough to break down my walls and pull me back.’” For Leah, the crowd-favorite tune only echoes her mantra of sass and strength. “Being truly vulnerable in a relationship requires a certain bravery and strength. Pushing away may seem like the smartest and easiest thing to do, but it’s the moment you’re pulled back that the healing starts.”
Leah can be seen next performing her new single at the 22nd annual Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival on Friday and this Saturday at The Grand Ole Opry. Fans can also purchase “Pull Me Back” HERE and at all digital retailers.
