U.S. Paralympic athlete Alana Nichols has teamed up with the Citi Every Step of the Way® program to help those challenged with physical disablilities. Nichols is not just a spokesperson for this campaign, but she is also one that faces challenges due to her physical disability.
Alana Nichols was in a snowboarding accident in 2000 which left her paralyzed. Since then Nichols has worked hard to overcome the challenges she continually faces. Alana states, “It wasn’t about being paralyzed, but rather what I was doing with it.” Now, Nichols is an active competitor in the U.S. Paralympics for alpine skiing!! Between the accident and now, Nichols has faced and overcome several challenges, both physically and emotionally. Alana has perserved and is a multiple Paralympic gold medalist. Alana’s story is both touching and inspiring and you can be a part of it! The Every Step of the Way® Program is a fantastic campaign that we can all be a part of by helping award Citi’s $500,000 donation. There are nine programs, featuring 9 U.S. Olympic & Paralympic athletes, that are in need of this donation and you can help decide where it goes!
