Kenny Chesney Announces 2018 Trip Around The Sun Tour

With Live from No Shoes Nation, the 30-song live recording celebrating the heart and soul of the million+ fans who come out each summer to see Chesney live, hitting streets Oct. 27, Kenny Chesney’s ready to get back to the fans. After a few weeks’ progress working with various organizations to deal with the devastation in the Virgin Islands, the 8-time ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year announces the stadium portion of his 2018 Trip Around The Sun Tour.

“Listening to all those tapes of all those shows led to Live in No Shoes Nation,” Chesney says. “And playing those two nights in Foxboro this year made me really want to get out there with all the people who LIVE this music. We have so much fun, so much life, so many memories – all tied up in these shows and these songs – I am ready to get out there and kick into another summer where we can all celebrate how lucky we are to love life and be able to come together.”

Kicking off April 21 at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium, the 2018 Trip Around the Sun Tour will gather up all that energy and all the new songs from The Big Revival and Cosmic Hallelujah, mix them with everyone’s favorites, add in a few wild cards and hit the road like only Chesney can.

Joining him for this year’s trip around the sun will be Academy of Country Music Male Vocalist and Country Music Association and ACM Single of the Year winner Thomas Rhett (“Die a Happy Man,” “It Goes Like This,” “Craving You (feat. Maren Morris)”), ACM Best New Group and CMA double nominee Old Dominion (“Break Up with Him,” “Song for Another Time”) and breaking through artist/songwriter Brandon Lay (“Speakers, Bleachers and Preachers”).

“There’s nothing like a stadium full of people coming together to remind you what life’s about,” Chesney says. “The energy, the moments, the fun. Every single one of these artists who’re coming out with us for Trip Around the Sun live their lives the exact same way: they work hard, they appreciate what they’re given and they love music every bit as much as they love life. I, personally, can’t wait to see this show hit the road.”

For Chesney, who’s been called “The King of the Road” by Wall Street Journal and “The People’s Superstar” by the The Los Angeles Times, there is nowhere he feels more alive than when he’s onstage. His stadium shows are a rite of summer for many, and the songwriter/superstar from East Tennessee has built his career by striving to give people a night that defines their summer.

Tickets for the Trip Around the Sun will be available at kennychesney.com/triparoundthesun.

Brett Eldredge Releases “The Long Way” Music Video Featuring Sadie Robertson

Country chart-topper Brett Eldredge just released the brand new video for his latest single, The Long Way.” The romantic serenading video features “Duck Dynasty” starlet Sadie Robertson alongside the stylish hitmaker. The video initially made its premiere, exclusively on Esquire.

“The Long Way” is the second single from Eldredge’s latest self-titled project, released in August. Upon its launch, the album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, and No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The feel-good anthem continues to race up the charts, recently storming into the Top 40 at country radio. Only one day after the video premiere, the track has already charged its way to No. 6 (and climbing) on the iTunes Country Songs chart.

Kane Brown Makes History on the Billboard Country Charts

Breakthrough star Kane Brown makes history this week by achieving #1 on all five Billboard country charts! Brown is the first artist ever to top Billboard’s Top Country Albums, Country Airplay, Hot Country Songs, Country Streaming Songs and Country Digital Songs charts simultaneously.

Brown takes the #1 slot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart with his self-titled debut album on RCA Nashville/Zone 4 by amassing 43,000 in first-week consumption with the release of the Deluxe Edition on October 6. The album goes #5 on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart, the 23-year-old singer/songwriter’s first Top 5 on that chart. Brown’s original version of the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Albums and Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and remains country’s best-selling new-artist debut of the past three years. The Top Country Albums chart reflects traditional albums sales, track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums compiled by Nielsen Music. The Deluxe Edition is available HERE.

On Billboard’s Country Airplay, Hot Country Songs and Country Streaming Songs charts, the Platinum-certified smash hit “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina tops all three charts this week. This marks Kane Brown’s first #1 airplay single, his first week having the #1 streaming song and, after ending Sam Hunt’s 34-consecutive-week #1 hold last week, his second week at #1 on the Hot Country Song chart. The Hot Country Songs chart reflects tracks sales, airplay and streaming and the Country Streaming chart reflects the week’s top-streamed country songs. This week, “What Ifs” also reached the summit of the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country Airplay chart, a first for the artist.

The fifth Billboard chart Brown tops this week is the Country Digital Songs. “Heaven,” one of four new songs on the Kane Brown Deluxe Edition, debuts at #1 with 35,000 total first-week consumption. The track enters at #8 on the all-genre Billboard Digital Song chart. The Country Digital Songs chart reflects the week’s top-selling paid download country songs.
