ACM Entertainer of the Year Jason Aldean rocks it hard night after night on stage when performing, but his heart is soft and huge when it comes to raising awareness for breast cancer research. Each year Aldean puts on a concert dedicated specifically to this disease. Going into its 11th year, Aldean’s “Concert for the Cure” will take place at the Grand Ole Opry, becoming a part of the 8th annual “Opry Goes Pink” special event.

Aldean will flip the switch on Tuesday, October 25, and turn the backdrop in the historic venue pink for two shows that evening. Jason will perform among other artists and raise funds for Women Rock for the Cure™ and Susan G. Komen®’s Nashville Chapter. Artists set to join Aldean for this memorable evening will be announced soon.

“Finding a cure for breast cancer is something I’ll continue to fight for the rest of my life,” said Aldean. “Bringing the show back to Nashville this year as part of a special Opry performance where I will have so many friends and family in the crowd will be a good reminder of why we need to continue to fight this terrible disease.”

“Both Jason Aldean and the Opry have been working for several years now to fight breast cancer,” said Pete Fisher, Opry vice president and general manager. “We’re excited that the ACM’s Entertainer of the Year and the Opry are joining forces this year to make what we know will be a bigger impact than ever.”

Aldean supports the Susan G. Komen fund throughout his whole tour. A portion of ticket sales is donated to the fund, in addition to a breast cancer survivor being honored  throughout his 2016 Six String Circus Tour. Funds raised on his tour throughout the year will be presented to the Susan G. Komen Foundation during the “Concert for a Cure”/ “The Opry Goes Pink” event on October 25.

In addition, $5 from each ticket for this upcoming event will be donated to Women Rock For The Cure™. Tickets are available now at opry.com, or by calling (615) 871-OPRY.
