A relaxing beach vacation in Destin, Fla. turned into a panicked frenzy for country star Justin Moore, his wife and three little girls when their family dog, Hank, went missing from their vacation property. The black, 20-pound West Highland/Scottish terrier mix disappeared the morning of May 30, and after over eight hours of steadfast searching with no success, they feared for the worst.
Moore posted a request for help to his more than 3.2 million fans on Facebook and Twitter to help bring the dog home, after having to leave Destin for a tour date in Valdosta, Georgia empty-handed without the family’s beloved Hank. Read HERE.
“To anyone in the Destin, FL area, I need your help please. The girls and I left our place today, after being down there for a couple weeks. Unfortunately, we had to leave without our dog, Hank. Needless to say, we are bummed out. The girls and Kate are beside themselves. I know this is a shot in the dark, but know the folks in the area are great people, and willing to help out where there is a need. In addition, I know we may have fans vacationing in the area. You would make three little girls and my wife very happy if you could provide any info concerning his whereabouts,” Justin wrote.
The “Lettin’ The Night Roll,” country hit-maker also posted heart-warming photos of Hank along with a thorough description and contact info on how to get in touch if any information was found.
Thanks to the flurry of social media posts and shares by Justin’s loyal fans, less than 24 hours later, the country star followed up his heart-wrenching post with the great news that the dog was finally found. “I want to say thanks for all the well wishes and help for Hank. We got him! Thanks to the folks who retweeted, FB’d, etc… much appreciated!” he wrote.
He later posted a photo of those who returned him with the words, “His saviors.” Needless the say, the Moore family is breathing a sigh of relief to have their four-legged friend back at home safe.
In other recent news, Justin was announced as the only country music artist so far slated to participate in the 2015 MLB All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game on July 12 at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio, alongside celebrities from film, music and TV including Josh Hutcherson (“The Hunger Games”), Snoop Dogg, Macklemore, Nick Lachey and many more.
