Dustin Lynch’s newest single, “Where It’s At” is available for purchase today. Two weeks in a row “Where It’s At” has been the most-added song in country radio, with 79 first-week stations added. This is Lynch’s first release since releasing three singles in 2012 from his self-titled debut album (including his top five hit “Cowboys and Angels”) and touring the U.S. opening for Keith Urban.
Produced by Mickey Jack Cones and written by Cary Barlowe, Zach Crowell, Matt Jenkins, “Where It’s At” celebrates the simple things in life .“We all can get decked out, dressed up, go out to a fancy dinner and do all the sparkly things in life but we always end up heading back to the house. That’s where the true love is and happens,” says Lynch. Adding, “There’s nothing more real than just being with somebody else. Having someone else in your life that makes good days better is unmatchable. Having the love of someone to come home to at night. . .that’s really ‘Where It’s At.’”
The up-tempo summertime anthem features a rhythmic assortment of acoustic guitars, electric guitars, synth sounds, drums, percussion and of course vocals (background vocals performed by Mickey Jack) that come to together to create a sound unlike anything we’ve ever heard from Dustin Lynch. “I was looking to create a different sound for “Where It’s At” – a sound that brought an organic energy to Dustin’s record without compromising the integrity of his traditional roots. From the acoustic guitar driven signature, to my slide ukulele solo (that I somehow pulled off with a broken string), this single has a unique sonic stamp and a catchy ear-worm quality that will hopefully resonate well with listeners” says Mickey Jack Cones. Cones, who is currently wrapping up production on Lynch’s sophomore album for Broken Bow Records, in the last year, has also produced the number the 1 hit “Sunny and 75” for Joe Nichols, Joe’s current single “Yeah”, which is at number 25 and climbing fast on the Billboard charts this week as well as the ‘hit-filled’ timeless Merle Haggard tribute album, “Working Man’s Poet: A Tribute To Merle Haggard.”
“Where It’s At” marks the first single to be released off Dustin Lynch’s sophomore album at Broken Bow Records.
