Cale Dodds Releases Second Two-Sided Single with “Out Of My System” and “People Watching”

Warner Bros. / Warner Music Nashville recording artist Cale Dodds made his major label debut in September with the first of three double-sided singles, and has recently released round two. “Out Of My System / People Watching” once more couples a brand new track with a re-release of a breakout song. This time, Dodds offers fans a look at opposite ends of the relationship spectrum. Set to his unique blend of contemporary country music, “Out Of My System” provides insight into the difficulties of letting go.

“‘Out Of My System’ is about a toxic relationship that I stayed in for way too long,” said Dodds. “Looking back, it makes me realize that you have to trust your path. Sometimes when things don’t work out in life, they work out on stage. I love playing this song live so I think it’s a great example of that.”

Already a seasoned songwriter, the Columbus, GA native wrote both tracks alongside Zach Abend and Corey Crowder. “People Watching” racked up almost six million streams on Spotify alone upon its original release in 2016. The feel-good tune describes onlookers admiring a couple lost in love. Added Dodds: “I was so grateful for the response to ‘People Watching’ last year that when I had the chance to give it an update in the studio, I jumped. It’s just a fun song about love that makes people sing along. That can be the best kind of music.”

In the two months since its premiere, Dodds’ first double-sided single “All Over / Lying” has racked up over six and a half million streams. He will release the third and final pair of songs in January before launching his first nationwide radio tour. In the meantime, Dodds is closing the year on a high note. Rolling Stone just named him one of their November 2017 “New Country Artists You Need To Know,” praising his “smooth pop-country crooning over arena ready arrangements, distinguished by clever lyricism.”

Dodds is known as much for his music as his charming personality, which he showed off interviewing fellow country artists at the CMA Lounge during CMA Awards week in Nashville. Superstars such as Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum and Little Big Town all stopped by to talk with Dodds in addition to label mates Brett Eldredge, Cole Swindell, Chris Janson and more. Fans can check out select interviews on the official “CMA Country Music Association” YouTube channel and in an upcoming episode of the “Cale Cam” video series. “Cale Cam” provides a behind-the-scenes look at the rising country artist both in the studio and on the road.

Eastside Distilling, Inc. (NASDAQ: ESDI) a producer of award-winning craft spirits and John Rich, the multi-platinum singer/songwriter/producer and one-half of the award-winning duo Big & Rich, announced the signing of an exclusive global spirits licensing agreement with Rich’s burgeoning Redneck Riviera lifestyle brand. The “Work Hard, Play Hard” brand celebrates the working men and women who are the backbone of the U.S. For further information, please visit Redneck Riviera or Eastside Distilling.

Production has already begun on the Redneck Riviera branded spirits poised to be the favorite for those looking to enjoy a great spirit at the working man’s price point. The line includes American blended, aged, flavored and premium-blended whiskies, as well as vodka and rum. Award-winning distillers Travis Schoney and Mel Heim will craft each recipe using the best of ingredients.

“This is an exciting time for the Redneck Riviera brand,” Redneck Riviera’s John Rich said. “It has always been my goal to have a spirits line, and to be announcing this so young into the company’s launch is such a thrill and an honor. To be able to roll out this custom blend whiskey made in America by some of the top distillers in the country is a big win for us. I love a smooth blend of whiskey and a tight cigar to chill out after a rocking Big & Rich show or just a nice evening at home. This team is hard working and they play even harder, just like we do.”

Eastside has formed the Redneck Riviera Whiskey Co., a Tennessee LLC and wholly owned subsidiary of Eastside, as an operating entity to manage and promote sales of the whiskey and any follow-up products. They plan to be highly focused on the Southeast initially, with a roll out to the rest of the country in the months to come.

Eastside Distilling CEO Grover Wickersham says, “When I met John Rich I knew right away that we were going to do great business together. His energy and drive to succeed is unmatched, and when we saw the tremendous growth that the Redneck Riviera lifestyle brand has made in a short time, we knew that this was the right brand to forge a partnership. The spirits line is an obvious next step to the brand’s line of apparel, boots, food and honky-tonks.”

Redneck Riviera is the brainchild of the award-winning multi-faceted entertainer and entrepreneur John Rich.  Redneck Riviera celebrates the men and women who make America the greatest nation in the world through their hard working attitude that deserves to be celebrated.  In addition to Redneck Riviera apparel, footwear, food and beach accessories, Redneck Riviera has two honky-tonks. Redneck Riviera Vegas is now open at the Grand Bazaar Shops adjacent to Bally’s Las Vegas on the famed Sin City strip, and Redneck Riviera Nashville is set to open in spring of 2018 on Nashville’s Lower Broadway.

Kip Moore Sends New Single “Last Shot” to Country Radio

Mutli-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Kip Moore is following up his recent No. One smash hit “More Girls Like You,” with his “smoldering” (Rolling Stone) new single “Last Shot.”  The metaphor-driven and reflective ballad, co-written by Moore with Dan Couch and David Lee Murphy, is one of the most added songs at country radio this week and the second single taken from his third studio album “SLOWHEART,” praised by critics across the country as he “blends the passion and connection for which he’s known with a new self-awareness that will speak to both commercial and underground audiences” (USA Today.)

As Moore continues to garner acclaim for SLOWHEART, with Billboard noting the record “shines a light on his more sensitive side,” he is also sharing more insight into the process of making the album with his vulnerable documentary THE JOURNEY TO SLOWHEART, out now.

Available to watch via VEVO now and on Qello, the documentary was created by Moore with his best friend and video director, PJ Brown.  The refreshingly raw piece follows Moore as he returns to his hometown of Tifton, GA, as he reflects on his childhood and the importance of his family in shaping the artist he is today.  Fans will also get a glimpse into the recording process behind Moore’s latest release with behind-the-scenes footage in the studio, as well as a look into his travels earlier this year that took him to Iceland, Costa Rica and more.

Moore is currently undertaking his headlining PLEAD THE FIFTH TOUR with special guest Drake White. With no signs of slowing down this year, he will also hit the road with Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen for a limited run this December as part of a special solo acoustic stint dubbed TALL TALES AND THE TRUTH TOUR, kicking off in Denver, CO on 12/7. Cam To Perform New Single “Diane” in the 91st Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Cam will be sharing her holidays with millions this Thursday, November 23, as she appears in the 91st Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, one of America’s favorite seasonal spectaculars. During the two-and-one-half mile parade route on 34th Street in New York City, the Grammy, CMA, ACM, CMT and AMA nominated artist will ride the Domino Sugar float, and, perform her new single, “Diane,” which will be telecast on NBC.

This week, “Diane,” a preview of new music from Cam’s forthcoming 2018 Arista Nashville/RCA Records album, arrives at country radio. Officially impacting radio on Monday, December 4, the new single was co-written by Cam, Jeff Bhasker, and Tyler Johnson, the team behind her Platinum-certified #1 smash, “Burning House,” which remains the most-downloaded song by a female country artist released since 2015.  Bhasker (Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars) and Johnson (Harry Styles, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran) also produced “Diane,” as they did Cam’s widely acclaimed 2015 major-label album debut, Untamed.

Inspired by the storyline of Dolly Parton’s classic “Jolene,” the driving, tempo-rich track “Diane” was described as “the exhilarating first taste of her upcoming second LP” in a recent Cam feature in Rolling Stone Country. As the article expounded, “The confessional tale from the perspective of a remorseful woman as she reveals to her ex’s wife that she was unaware he was married while they were involved, ‘Diane’ bounces along to a carefree beat – think vintage ABBA/Fleetwood Mac – but at its darker heart is an earnest plea for understanding, forgiveness and female solidarity.”

In a recent People.com interview, Cam explains the importance of the message of “Diane.” “The truth is, there are so many people that have gone through this that I know. There’s such a weird stigma that you can’t talk about this because it either reflects badly on you or you feel vulnerable, you’re supposed to suffer in silence or if you see it from the outside, you’re not supposed to tell. I wrote it because this is the apology and the forthrightness that I think people deserve from each other.”

“Diane,” the debut single from her sophomore collection is available now HERE.

Chris Janson Tops The Chart with No. 1 Single “Fix A Drink”

Grab the closest cup of Mountain Dew (Chris Janson’s beverage of choice) for a toast to the Warner Bros. / Warner Music Nashville recording artist on his second career No. 1 single “Fix A Drink.” Janson takes the “clever kiss-off to the troubles and tribulations of everyday life” (The Tennessean) to the top of the Country Aircheck / Mediabase chart this week. Declared early on as “tailor-made to be a summer anthem…” (Rolling Stone), the laid-back tune boasts over 20 million on-demand streams.

“Having a hit on country radio is a huge blessing – it’s Thanksgiving week, and I’m extremely thankful,” said Janson. “Reaching my country fans through radio has always been a dream of mine. Thanks for allowing me to make my dreams come true.”

The singer / songwriter’s major label debut single “Buy Me A Boat” peaked at No. 1 in 2015 on the Country Aircheck / Mediabase chart and has earned RIAA Platinum certification for selling over one million copies. Janson has since become a staple in Music City and beyond. He has made television appearances from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and TODAY to Live with Kelly & Ryan, embarked upon nationwide tours with country music superstars including Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt and played the Grand Ole Opry stage more than 150 times to date. Most recently he released his sophomore album Everybody – 12 brand new tracks, including “Fix A Drink,” all co-written by Janson himself.
