Luke Bryan Set To Release New Studio Album “What Makes You Country” with Multiple Media Appearances

Four-time Entertainer of the Year winner and American Idol judge Luke Bryan releases his sixth studio album on Dec. 8 on Capitol Records Nashville, What Makes You Country, with new RIAA certifications and television appearances on Good Morning America, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Luke says with the release of the new album, “I’ve gotten to follow all my dreams and still remain true to who I am as a person. I just try to go in the studio and record music that makes me happy, makes me feel something and makes me emotional at times. Songs that I visualize my crowd reacting to.” In referencing the meaning behind the album’s title track he shares, “what makes me country is where I was raised in Leesburg, Georgia. I was brought up with manners and raised with a work ethic that has played an important role to where I am today.”

RIAA recently announced new certifications and Luke now has more certified digital singles than any other male country artist with 40 Million tracks and his album certifications grow to 12 Million.

On Friday, Dec. 8, Luke will perform new songs from What Makes You Country on Good Morning America and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. His GMA appearance will be broadcast live from Opry City Stage, a four-level live music and dining space located in the heart of Times Square. Luke becomes the first superstar to perform in the Opry’s first “home away from home” since its opening. On Dec. 12 Luke will return to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, his second appearance since announcing his 2018 “What Makes You Country Tour” on the show in late October.

What Makes You Country was produced by Jeff Stevens and Jody Stevens and contains 15 songs, seven of them co-written by Luke including the title track. The album’s lead single “Light It Up,” written by Luke and Old Dominion member Brad Tursi, is the follow up to his 18th career No. 1 single and sixth No. 1 from his Kill The Lights album. With this feat, Luke made Billboard chart history as the only artist in the 27-year history of the Billboard Country Airplay chart to garner six No. 1 singles from one album. Luke’s tailgates & tanlines and Crash My Party albums both generated five No. 1 singles.

Hunter Hayes Teams Up with Zappos.com To Release “The Rescue Collection” Limited Edition Shoe Collaboration

Always looking for ways to help others through the power of music, Hunter Hayes officially launches “The Rescue Collection” on Zappos.com. The five-time GRAMMY nominee’s inspiring track “Rescue,” released earlier this year, kick started the limited edition shoe collaboration, with the designs stemming from the David Garibaldi paintings created in the song’s accompanying music video.

“The Rescue Collection” features two shoe designs printed on Superga sneakers. Each purchase includes a signed copy of Hayes’ hand written lyric sheet in every shoe box. Hayes has partnered with Zappos for Good, the charitable arm of Zappos.com, to designate 100% of the net proceeds from the “The Rescue Collection” to the North Shore Animal League America. A bold supporter of music education, the multi-platinum selling artist is also donating select pairs from “The Rescue Collection” to The CMA Foundation for auction.

“We’re very excited and grateful to see this idea we had earlier this year come to life and have the potential to help so many people,” shared Hayes. “I am a firm believer in the power music has to help people and it’s been incredibly uplifted to see how many people ‘Rescue’ has reached. The launch of the shoe collection furthers our mission and I am excited to see the positive impact.”

Continuing the narrative established in Part 1, Hayes introduces the second installment of his three-part mini-movie “Pictures” with the accompanying visual for new track, “More.” Forbes launched the mini-movie in November, additionally revealing the culmination of “Pictures” will occur early next year in a mini-motion picture event in Nashville complete with a panel with actors, director and screenwriter and a live performance from Hayes himself. Forbes picks up the storyline with Part 2, sharing “and just like that, you’ll love Hunter Hayes more in his new music video”.

Hayes continues to deliver innovative avenues to share his music with fans across the country. Follow along as he soon reveals audio for the third installment in the mini-movie ahead of its early 2018 premiere.

“It is hard to describe how it feels. A Gold record,” says Hayes, “I am so grateful for the support from everyone who made this happen. I appreciate all the people who got on board with this project and this song. I’m so honored to have ‘You Broke Up With Me’ go Gold.”

Hayes was surprised with a gold plaque following an intimate album release show at a private space in Nashville. “Seeing Hayes break out by staying true to his unusual musical inclinations is inspiring to many in Nashville, as artists typically have to prove themselves radio-friendly before they can delve into less traditional material,” continued The Post.
