Sony Music Nashville singer/songwriter Angie Johnson, who’s infectious “Swagger” single cracked the Top 25 last week, has been invited to be a featured vocalist in the Air Force’s premier expeditionary entertainment troupe, Tops In Blue, on a Middle Eastern morale tour over the holiday season. Currently a Tech Sergeant in the Air National Guard, Angie was a member of the prestigious band early in her Air Force career.

Angie headed to San Antonio this week for rehearsals with Tops In Blue, and the two-week tour will entertain troops at numerous military bases in the Middle East the last two weeks of December. In addition to performing Top 40 and patriotic songs, Angie will also perform “Swagger” and the title track to her Sing for You EP.

“I am so stoked to be going back to the Middle East to boost the morale of deployed troops with Tops In Blue over the Christmas season,” said an elated Angie. “I can’t wait to go back to where it all began for me,” she added, referring to the viral YouTube video that was taped at a performance in the Middle East and propelled her into the international spotlight two years ago. The video can be seen here.

She wrapped up opening for Scotty McCreery’s Weekend RoadTrip Tour in Texas last weekend, and she will be on leave from her Tops In Blue rehearsals this weekend to sing the National Anthem at the Kansas City Chiefs home game this Sunday, the 24th.

Angie recently announced 10 percent of the net proceeds from sales through her new online store will be donated to Operation Homefront, a national organization that provides emergency financial and other¬†assistance to the families of service members and wounded warriors.¬† Click here to visit Angie’s online store or here for more information about Operation Homefront. #SwaggerOn #OperationHomefront
