Singer/songwriter Angie Johnson is set to make her Grand Ole Opry debut as a Sony Music Nashville recording artist on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, the day her debut EP, Sing For You, hits stores. Currently serving as a Tech Sergeant in the Missouri Air National Guard, Angie will be part of tonight’s Opry salute to U.S. military heroes, including a red carpet and parade. Following the appearance, Angie will autograph copies of Sing For You in the Opry Shop.

Later this week, Angie will head to New York City for several special appearances in honor of Memorial Day and New York City’s historic Fleet Week, beginning with a Salute to Freedom on the famed Intrepid honoring Dr. Henry Kissinger, Mr. David Koch and Mrs. Audrey Fisher on Thursday, May 23rd. The gala is attended by 800 guests including senior military officials and government representatives. On Saturday and Sunday, May 25 & 26, she will also perform on the USS Intrepid, honoring the US Military.

Angie’s four-song EP includes her co-written title track “Sing For You,” a moving, true-to-life ballad that showcases Angie’s powerhouse vocals and emotional range.
