Today, the emotional music video for Kristy Lee Cook’s “Airborne Ranger Infantry” premiered on FOX411 Country. Fans can watch the video exclusively on FOX411 Country now thru Friday HERE

Directed by ACM, MTV and CMT Award winning director Roman White, the video is an emotional, cinema-worthy tribute to the men and women who have served in the U.S. military as well as to the loved ones they left behind both at home and in the field.

Co-written by Cook alongside her father Larry Cook as well as songwriters Michael Logen and Luke Sheets, “Airborne Ranger Infantry,” is based upon poems her father wrote about his experiences while serving during the extraction period of the Vietnam War.  Cook’s father Larry makes a cameo in the music video. Many of the actors portraying soldiers in the video are also veterans of the United States military.

“Singing a song about men and women that have fought and served for our country and those who have lost their lives for us is very emotional – and I’m not an emotional person but there is a soft spot in my heart for our soldiers,” Cook tells FOX411 Country on the eve of Veterans Day.  “I feel very privileged to be able to sing something for them in return for their sacrifice for me.”

Additionally, “Airborne Ranger Infantry” is FOX411 Country Round-Up’s “Featured Song of the Week,” an accolade shared across all national FOX affiliates and Fox411.

“Airborne Ranger Infantry” is a sweeping, cinematic ballad that serves as a vivid, heartfelt depiction of a young soldier serving in-action during the Vietnam War. The song tells the universal story of strength, sacrifice and of one man’s love for his family, his fellow soldiers and for his country. “Airborne Ranger Infantry” is a personal tribute to Cook’s father as well as to all those who have served in the United States military.

The song earned double digits adds upon its debut at Country Radio and continues to rise up the charts.

Kristy Lee Cook first gained fame as a Top 10 finalist on Season 7 of FOX’s American Idol.  Since Idol, Cook has continued to stay in the spotlight by hosting her own television program on The Outdoor Channel titled “Outdoors 10 Best” as well as starring in the Versus reality series, “Goin’ Country.”

Influenced at a young age by such vocal powerhouses as Whitney Houston, Shania Twain and Garth Brooks, the Selma, OR native began singing at gigs around and near her hometown when she was only 13 years old.  With an intense love for Country music, horses and the outdoors, Cook’s energetic, girl-next-door approach to both her songwriting and music epitomizes the Country lifestyle.

Now signed to Broken Bow Records – whose roster includes multi-platinum superstar Jason Aldean as well as chart-topper Dustin Lynch – Cook is currently in the studio working with production team New Voice (Thompson Square) and multi-platinum recording artist Jason Aldean who is serving as executive producer of her upcoming album.
