Thomas Rhett Asks Tennessee Volunteers To ‘Do Something With Their Hands’

The Valory Music Co.’s hot newcomer, Thomas Rhett, has partnered with Hands On Nashville (HON) — Middle Tennessee’s volunteer resource center—to encourage volunteers to serve their community and find ‘something to do with their hands.’ The goal of the partnership is to actively promote the hundreds of volunteer opportunities available each month at HON.org, which range from packaging meals at the local food bank to installing energy-saving upgrades in area homes.

“It is especially humbling to be able to give back in my own community,” said Thomas Rhett. “Whether I can do that by sorting food at my local food bank or helping to make someone’s home more energy efficient, then I’m all for it.”

Kicking off CMA Music Fest on Thursday, June 7, Thomas Rhett will join HON and Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee (331 Great Circle Road Nashville, TN 37228)  to host a Volunteer Day to sort food and pack bags for those in need. Following the event, Thomas Rhett will perform an acoustic concert for all participants. Everyone is invited to lend a hand during the Volunteer Day, which begins at 9:45 AM. Register here now.

The June 7th event is in conjunction with Outnumber Hunger, a partnership between the Big Machine Label Group, General Mills and Feeding America. The national campaign utilizes local activation and brings awareness to the one in six Americans struggling with hunger.
