Hey y’all!  So, it is that time of year, your favorite band is in town and you are so excited! But wait…. it’s freezing here.  What are you going to wear that will keep away the goose bumps without looking like your ready for the mountain?  Tricky, very tricky!!  Here are some cold weather friendly picks that will keep you comfortable and trendy without giving you the winter blues!

I like to call this first little get up “Boho Country,” a little bit country and a little bit bohemian all tied up nicely with a bow and budget friendly to boot! (No pun intended!!)  All of these great pieces were found at Forever 21, one of my go to places to shop when I need something on trend and that won’t gouge my bank account.  Jewel colored jeans are huge right now, I own a pair in fire engine red and have my eyes on a pair of purple ones too!  These salmon colored skinnies as shown below though with the gold zipper pocket details are on my wish list as a MUST HAVE.  Not only do they look great with a pair of boots, but they will also transition right into the spring and summer months too!  Rule of thumb, you can (almost) never have enough accessories.  Stack up those rings and bracelets, its ok to mix color and textures and to not be super matchy.  I paired this cream scalloped top with gold toned jewelry to keep things “warm” and the lace-up style boots will keep you out of your seat and singing every song!  Have fun with your hair and make-up; bronze eyeshadows and peach cheeks with loose wavy curls will make this whole look polished and ready for a possible photo op!

Maybe you are not so bohemian but a little more edgy?  For all you rocker chic girls, I think this next look combines a good combination of edge and girly!  I’m pretty sure the skinny jeans are here to stay; you should invest in one pair of really great fitting skinnies.  These J Brand’s are a bit on the pricey side ($300…yikes!) but you can usually find some like them or at a discounted price at your local Nordstrom Rack.  I have a great pair of Citizen For Humanity jeans in dark indigo that I wear for going out and then a less expensive pair that I grabbed from the Gap (actually I have 4 pairs) for everyday around town.  H&M is a fun store; they have lots of options for different styles and at affordable prices.  I found this sweet little tank and paired it with a biker-esque faux leather jacket that I found on h&m.com.  Again – mixing up the accessories, like this agate ring paired with the dainty gold bow ring keeps you creative without trying too hard.  Ok, I’m going to be honest….I coordinated this entire look around the Wicked-L leopard print wedges by Steve Madden.  I loooooooove these shoes….LOVE!  In my opinion, 4-inch heels and concerts do not make your feet (or you) very happy!  Wedges and platforms are a great alternative for all you fashionista concert goers.  And since we are going a little on the wild side here, ease up on the eye make up with these look ladies and sport some red lips and lots of black mascara.

Now, if you are more of a dress girl than a jeans girl I have a little something for you too.  You can’t go wrong with a feminine floral print no matter who you are.  I chose this blue floral print dress from H&M because it has long enough sleeves to make it weather appropriate, but the shorter length paired up with a braided belt and these short western boots from Steve Madden pulls the whole thing together in a non Mom-ish way.  Leather accessories are super popular right now so I included a leather band style bracelet along with a chunky bright orange a gold cuff to add a little pop of color!  Warm smoky eye make up and lip gloss are my beauty suggestions.  Leave the hair down or smoothed back in a high ponytail to complete your look!

I hope my little suggestions help you on your quest for the perfect winter concert outfit!  I used Polyvore.com to pull all of my looks together and for easy access on how to find any of the items you want to call your own.  For those of you who don’t have a shopping budget, no worries!!  Pull out your favorite pair of jeans and a bright top, or when in doubt…black looks great on anyone!!  Whatever makes you feel put together will shine on the outside.
