For the first-time ever, the Academy of Country Music is announcing the nominees for the 47th Annual ACM Awards via a digital press conference on Thursday, 1/26 at 6:30am PT. Awards co-host and country superstar Reba will read the nominations via the Academy’s social media channels with surprise guests to be announced.

FANS will be chosen (from video submissions) to announce the nominees for the Awards’ biggest honor – the fan-voted Entertainer of the Year category.  Beginning TODAY, you’re invited to visit the ACM YouTube Channel at to learn how to post videos announcing the name of the artist(s) you would like to see receive an Entertainer of the Year nomination.  On Thursday, January 26th during the real-time digital press conference fans can watch to see if their video submission is used to announce their pick for the Academy’s biggest prize. And you’re in good company: Past participants in the ACM nominations press conferences have included Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Reba, Blake Shelton, Sugarland, Carrie Underwood and many more!

  1. Why the snub to Keith Urban? The ACM awards just became a joke and I will not even bother to watch. It is all about you promoting the people that you want to promote, who appeals to the itune downloaders (teeny boppers mainly) and who makes you the most money.
    This just sucks….
