Country music duo Thompson Square took time out of their busy touring schedule this past Saturday to work on board the 69th Annual CSX Santa Train, physically giving out over 15 tons of toys to children and families in the coal mining towns of the Appalachian Mountains across Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee.

The chart-topping husband/wife duo, comprised of Keifer and Shawna Thompson, joined Santa, CSX, Kids Wish Network, Food City, the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce and over 100 volunteers as they traveled 110 miles through the hills of Appalachia – beginning in Pikeville, KY at 5:30 am ET and ending in Kingsport, TN at 3:00 pm ET.  The day of giving ended in with a performance by Thompson Square in Kingsport, TN, which officially kicked off the holiday season in the Tri-Cities area.
