CMT’s Next Superstar winner and singer-songwriter Matt Mason was officially welcomed into the label family at Warner Music Nashville yesterday, June 22 with a party to honor their newest artist. Mason, who is signed to the label’s imprint Elektra Nashville, proved why he was a frontrunner on the CMT show at the event, entertaining the staff with a riveting acoustic performance.

Matt Mason is the recent winner of CMT’s Next Superstar, produced by father-son team, Nigel & Simon Lythgoe. The final vote of the competition is determined by fan voting across America. Mason’s songs “Good Year for the Outlaw” and “After Midnight” are available at iTunes now: http://budurl.com/mattmason

  1. I am EXTREMELY disappointed and disgusted with Warner Music Nashville for not releasing an album yet for Matt. It has been almost a YEAR since Matt won CMT Next Superstar and was “welcomed into the label family at Warner Music Nashville.” WHAT IS GOING ON WMN???? This is RIDICULOUS and totally unfair to Matt Mason and his fans!

  2. Yes Kim, Matt had to release his 6 song CD himself as they just kept doing nothing. You can get Matt’s new CD Chasing Stardust at I tunes. Matt did an incredible job as usual. Love the album.
