CMT is set to world premiere Taylor Swift’s much-anticipated video “Mean” during its regular primetime lineup on Friday, May 6 at 10 p.m. ET. The video will debut simultaneously across CMT, CMT.com, the all-music channel CMT Pure and Palladia, MTV Networks’ high-definition music channel.
Shot over two days at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, the video for “Mean” was Swift’s concept and she wrote the treatment to depict the lyrics of the song, including its’ happy endings. Declan Whitebloom directed the video, which also features her band.
“Mean” is already in the Top 10 on the country charts, and Swift debuted the single in April on the Academy of Country Music Awards, where she also won Entertainer of the Year.
