The highly anticipated wedding of Blake Shelton & Miranda Lambert took place on Saturday, May 14th at Texas’ Don Strange Ranch in Miranda’s home state of Texas. As reported, there were over 500 guests of which included Dierks Bentley, Josh Kelley, Reba, Kelly Clarkson and more. Twitter was quiet on the wedding day, however some artists took to social media on Sunday and it sounded like an amazing wedding. Click HERE to read more.
While we are all waiting for photos to surface from the big day, there are some details that are beginning to unfold. Taste of Country reports that while Neal McCoy was the official wedding singer for the event, Reba stepped in and performed 5 songs; one of which was her hit song “Fancy”.
One of the more exquisite details from the wedding that is now available is the bling!! People.com reports that the rings exchanged during the ceremony were custom made by Johnathon Arndt. Arndt is a jewelery designer in Beverly Hills who also designed Carrie Underwood’s engagement ring & wedding band. Lambert, or should we say Mrs. Shelton, now sports a 5-carat white diamond eternity ring designed by Arndt to complement her engagement ring. Lambert had Shelton’s wedding band custom designed based on one of his tattoos. It is reported that it took 60 days to engrave the ring and Miranda requested a black diamond to be mounted on the inside.
As previously reported, Miranda walked down the aisle wearing her mother’s wedding dress. However, the dress was accompanied by a three-tier, 30-carat diamond necklace valued at $1.2 million, along with diamond tear-drop earrings to match. During the reception, Lambert added to her accessories with a $250,000 cocktail ring from Jonathon Arndt’s 2011 “Bombay” collection which included 60-carats of multi-colored sapphires set in 18-karat black gold.
The photographer for the wedding has not posted any photos, BUT he has blogged about it. Photographer Robert Evans captured the moments for Mr. & Mrs. Blake Shelton and has indicated that photos will be surfacing later this week in US Weekly. Evans wrote, It was a perfect Texas day in the middle of May for a wedding. Location, Don Strange Ranch near Boerne, Texas, a community located approximately 45 minutes from San Antonio. The weather was perfect, the environment, beautiful but the most special part of this day was the bride and groom; not because they are two of the biggest county music artists in country music today; no what made this day so special, was how real Miranda Lambert & Blake Shelton really are. While Twitter was on lock-down on Saturday night, both Mr. & Mrs. Shelton took to Twitter today to send out a quick message. @BlakeShelton tweeted: Hey y’all I’m back!!!!! Without my sack!!!! while the @Miranda_Lambert sent out a sweet little tweet saying: Mrs Shelton here! Winning!!!!!
