Opry member, Trace Adkins will reunite with the West Point Glee Club for a special performance at the Grand Ole Opry this Friday, April 8, 2011. The collaboration between the celebrated baritone and the 60-member Glee Club will be a special reunion that has not occurred since Adkins’ memorable 2009 ACM performance with the cadets.
On Friday, Trace will host the segment and open with two songs, including his first public performance of his new single “Just Fishin'” about a father’s love and the limited time parents have with the little ones that grow up so fast. The Glee Club will perform two additional songs and, as a moving finale, Trace and his band will join the Glee Club on the finale of “Til The Last Shot’s Fired”.
As a particularly active celebrity supporter of the troops, Trace will salute soldiers from the local chapter of the Wounded Warriors in Nashville, who he has invited to the attend the evening’s performance.
This summer, Trace’s tour dates bring him back to the Heartland of America as he criss-crosses the country to perform fan favorites as well as new hits from his most recent album COWBOY’S BACK IN TOWN (released Aug. 2010 on Show Dog-Universal Music).
