CMR CD Review – Josh Kelley “Georgia Clay”

Josh Kelley is no stranger to the music industry and while this may not be his first album release, Georgia Clay is his first debut country album which is set to release tomorrow, Tuesday March 22nd. Current single “Georgia Clay” has been a successful hit on country radio and you can expect to hear 10 additional tracks on his new cd that are just as fantastic. Not only is Kelley an amazing vocalist but he is also a talented songwriter as he wrote/co-wrote all 11 songs on the Georgia Clay album.

Josh Kelley kicks off his new album with hit single “Georgia Clay”, a reflection of his teenage memories sticking with him just like clay, and continues to showcase his vocals throughout the entire cd. Georgia Clay in its entirety showcases solid songs delivered by Josh whether he is singing about not giving up in “A Real Good Try, good times with good friends in “Rainin’ Whiskey”, or hurting over a love that never said goodbye in “Gone Like That”. The passion is beautifully delivered from a loving father as he sings “Naleigh Moon”, a song written for his daughter.

Josh Kelley may be the brother of Charles Kelley from Lady Antebellum and the wife of actress Katherine Heigel, but he definitely marks his own identity with his new cd Georgia Clay. You will be hearing a lot more of Josh this year as Georgia Clay houses additional singles that will be great to hear on country radio, and he will be hitting the road with Taylor Swift on a few tour stops. Be sure to pick up a copy of Georgia Clay so that you will be well prepared for his opening set!! Georgia Clay will be available in retail stores on Tuesday, March 22nd or you can purchase on iTunes by clicking HERE.
